I know I am VERY late to the party but loving The West Wing

For years people have told me how good it is - I think I bought the box set about 15 years ago. It's on Sky Atlantic - started watching it and am hooked! Dusted off the box set so that I don't have to watch the ads.

No spoilers but please tell me it stays good throughout

As I said the other day on here....I want to be CJ Clegg when I grow up.

I might start watching from the beginning again.

I watched it all again last year to block out all the bad politics going on.

Best TV series ever.

Agree!! It is my favourite TV show ever. I think I rewatch the entire series every couple of years. The story develops really well and new characters come along so it really does progress.

Makes me wish they were real and the current administration were the fake ones!

I watch it every winter without fail. It's fab, funny, well written and strangely still very relevant (which shows how little progress we have made on many issues). Enjoy!

Ah I love it! When I re watch it's like seeing old friends again!

I'm on episode 2 of series 2 (In The Shadow of 2 Gunmen?) Can't believe I've never watched it. I am absolutely loving it. Sometimes I'm sure I love CJ most. Hang on, Josh. Wait, Toby. Or Mrs L. Or Donna. ALL OF THEM*.

I adore TWW. Yes, it stays that good, and Toby only gets sexier in his clever, doleful way.

Less good after season 4 when Sorkin and Lowe left, and lost its way toward the end. But still better than most things on TV.

Meh! Ignore the Season-4-is-the-end brigade. Season 5 does have weak spots but 6 & 7 are corking!

Oh Dalek how I envy you. The best TV programme ever and you get to watch it for the first time. Totally agree with wtfffs, though season 5 is probably the weakest (though mostly still better than virtually anything else you could watch!) seasons 6 and 7 are amazing.
Showofhands agree with you too - apart from Mandy all are favourites. Though special soft spot for Josh and CJ.

We keep rewatching if and enjoy it more every single time. It also gives me some kind of comfort compared to the insanity in the current real west wing

You've reminded me - been meaning to rewatch it again as I feel I need it now more than ever. Love Aaron Sorkin's stuff, even Studio 60, but this is the Daddy. I watched the whole lot in three weeks following an op. Happy days.
