Would Claire go back to normal life if she could (Outlander)?

DH and I have been binge watching Outlander (only halfway on season two though) and can't settle a debate. I don't think, given the option, Claire would go back to 1940. I think she actually loves her new life. DH disagrees and argues that she never chose this life and is putting up with what's happened. Who's wrong?

She would never go back unless she absolutely had to. Jamie is the love of her life. Only few days to wait for series 3 now, hurrah!

I'm half way through season one.
I don't believe she could ever leave Jamie. After the few things her husbands doppelgänger has done (Ive forgotten his name) how can she look her first husband in the eye for any reason ever again? I couldn't!

DH is wrong. Keep watching...

She would never choose to go back. Jamie is her heart and soul, as she is is. There are things she misses, like hot baths, but nothing that she misses enough to give up Jamie.
I can't wait for Monday!!
