Lullingstone Castle - anyone else getting cross with the dad?

I want to shout:

FFS you've got to take plastic! You can't run a place like this and be amateurish!

Poor little Tom is gardening his little heart out and it's all going to be wasted unless you sort yourself out.

And that guy who lives in the wing is not 'on his high horse', he just does happen to own half your house.

Anyone else watching & having similar reaction?

Well I've only just started watching it so thought maybe I'd missed something, but yes the credit card thing was odd.

But Tom put all those really vulnerable plants under a plastic tent. NOOOOO! the world garden seems a bit odd to me. We've been to some pretty odd tourist attractions, but I'm not sure about that...

Who is the man who lives in the other wing? Are they related?

10 or 20 years ago the family ran out of money and sold off a wing of the house, I think. I don't think he's related and you don't get the impression he gets on with the parents very well.

That's certainly the impression he gave to the potential buyer - I almost heard the tyres screech as she shot back off up the drive.

I wouldn't like to volunteer there personally - Tom would be lovely but the parents would probably treat you like a serf.

Eurgh what a nasty man - he's gloating over the fact that Trevor can't sell & it's going to be unsellable with all those visitors.
