I think he's great. Just posting here for anyone who didn't know he was doing a new one.

I'll be watching, enjoyed his other documentaries Grin

AhveHeardIt · 19/08/2017 10:26

I keep meaning to buy his books. Would love to go to one of his talks as well but he never does Scotland.

Already ready for Levison. Can't wait. Easy on the eye?? He is lovely.

Oh and I love the documentaries too Grin

Floralnomad · 19/08/2017 15:24

His programmes are excellent , I also like the Simon Reeve documentaries on the BBC .

SwedishEdith · 19/08/2017 15:24

Oh, I love him. Although I'm still intrigued about the guy who just died on one of his trips.

Juanbablo · 19/08/2017 15:25

Definitely looking forward to this!

cushioncovers · 19/08/2017 21:39

What did you all think of it?

OP posts:
PurpleDaisies · 20/08/2017 21:46

I thought it was really interesting. Life just seems so tense in some of those towns. Gorgeous scenery in parts too.

I was a bit disappointed he wasn't walking it all though.

SwedishEdith · 20/08/2017 22:13

Good start. I do wonder how much advance prep goes on - letting borders know etc?

AhveHeardIt · 20/08/2017 22:47

Me too SwedishEdith.

I did think that myself PurpleDaisies then thought I suppose that's possibly why it was titled differently. I really must buy his books, I'd love to read about the bits that aren't shown onscreen.

I liked it, very interesting how suspicious people are to begin with but then so welcoming and friendly.

HeyMacWey · 21/08/2017 20:00

Love a bit of Levison.

The dc's love watching his programmes too so it's nice to sit down and watch together.

Lots of food for thought in the first episode I thought. Looking forward to next week's episode.

cushioncovers · 22/08/2017 09:06

Just watching first episode now. The scenery is staggering. Levison is 😍 and his guide isn't too bad either 😄

GallinaGuapa · 22/08/2017 11:54

Thanks I didn't know about the new series. Will see if I can find the first episode.

He's very um, watchable Wink

Schnapps00 · 22/08/2017 12:19

Really enjoy his series, seems like a shame they don't extend them beyond 4 episodes, seems like there'd be more mileage there..he's actually a friend of a friend on fb so I see he gets lots of banter from his mates about being a dreamboat etc, ha!

cushioncovers · 22/08/2017 12:27

Finished first episode. Does seemed to be a lot of editing in this one. Feel like we are only skimming the surface. Didn't get that feeling with the other series so much.

cushioncovers · 22/08/2017 12:28

Think I would recognise Levison's teeth from a line up now. We get such alot of close ups of them. Grin

Thanks for this I didn't know there was a new series on. One of the most frank and traumatic pieces of television I've seen was when his friend died on a previous trip. Frightening how fast it happened.

Littlepig8834 · 27/08/2017 21:52

I like this series, sad to say bye to his guide today though.

This one doesn't feel rushed to me, but I do wish they were on for longer as I find them interesting and the people he meets are such characters.
