I thought that little snippet of Sarah 'coaching' Chad was vair cynical. As a rule the audience won't wear the manipulation, they want to think aaah Sarah, wondered what she was up to, isn't she nice and she can sing oops so it would be good to see and hear more of her and then low and behold, the contestant gets some work. What we don't care for much is a contestant who says, I need this to work to kick start my career again, now let's sort it out.

I also think Sam is just amusing himself with AL's company and that they wouldn't gel on the outside.

As for the sudden eviction teaser, Telly Mix says.

^They set a number of tasks and also dished out a few punishments, with Marissa getting revenge on Shaun for killer nominating her.
In the evening there was a party for all the housemates where the shock backdoor eviction took place.
The party ended when the evicted housemates left the house (again) and they took one of the current seven housemates with them.^

One of Derek's friends has tweeted that he's safe. Who knows.

Interesting to see who will be the evictee. I have not watched very much, caught up on CBBOTS every now and then.
I remember in one recent series, possibly 'ordinary' BB, a guy who had coasted along, can't for the life of me remember his name, was evicted suddenly via a back door eviction. He really was so shocked! I think they had all said oh we are in the final now and so forth and then next thing he was gone. To be honest, it was good to see him go.
