Did anyone else watch this? I'm just up to the point where the older man goes back to his home and cries because it has changed so much

I'm finding the format a bit annoying though

I've just watched the first episode and cried buckets!

What a waste of human life 🙁 And the kindness of strangers. Heartbreaking.

Recorded the next episode but too emotional to watch at the moment.

I found it very educational. The consequences of partition are not much talked about and I knew nothing of the atrocities committed by the different religious groups on others. I had always understood that the Indians who came to the UK did so as they had UK passports and saw a better potential life here. However, many clearly came here to escape the religious persecution they experienced in India. I was very moved by the stories of the individuals featured.
