Watching this made me think about what would happen here if the govt stop paying social benefits to poorer families.

I really felt for Arun, I think that was his name, the Indian boy. He was returned to his mother and his mother just threw herself on the ground wailing why did he have to come back and be a burden. That was so indescribably painful to witness.

The root of all this suffering is poverty and unless, as Rageh Omar said, that there is the political and personal will to work towards its eradication, children like this will continually be exploited and lead a joyless existence.

Such a sorrowful programme.

I watched upto the point of the fishing boys,and couldn't watch any more.Makes you think how lucky our kids are.I really felt for them.
