I know this will offend some people - but Malcolm Tucker

Ds and I watch those programmes and just giggle. For context DS is 20 nowadays.

I reckon that he will be in the future one of the funniest people on those 20 most funny things ( in the way that you have those programmes about funny people over the last decades ) - and to be fair is there never a funnier joke than Bob Monkhouse saying I would like to die like my father , peacefully in his sleep , not shouting
and screaming like his passengers. )

So not current but a Malcolm Tucker thing. I am prepared to believe this will sink without trace Grin

I love The Thick of It. I'm currebtly rewatching it for upteeth time. Malcolm Tucker is mine though.

Pollydonia · 15/07/2017 14:41

Oh yes, I have found my people Grin

Nearly10to9 · 15/07/2017 14:45

why would people be offended if you like MT?

I'd be more offended if you liked Mrs Browns Boys

cromwell44 · 15/07/2017 14:48

Yep, you are not alone.

wineusuallyhelps · 15/07/2017 14:50

The character is hilarious.

"About as much use as a marzipan dildo"

"This is an omnishambles"

SwearyInn · 15/07/2017 14:53

I think we should use the ‘carrot and stick’ approach. You take a carrot, you stick it up his fucking arse, followed by the stick, followed by an even bigger, rougher carrot.

BraveBear · 15/07/2017 15:43

He was very sharp and funny - and if you like The Thick Of It you should check out Veep if you haven't already, another Armando Ianucci show but set in the States - but I felt it lost a lot of its humour towards the end and Tucker just became outright nasty.

It could easily come back these days...

Saucery · 15/07/2017 15:45

When he gatecrashes that meeting "I'm a fucker for lettuce" Grin

stealtheatingtunnocks · 15/07/2017 15:45

He's on twitter.

Brutally funny.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 15/07/2017 18:28

"From bean to cup - you fuck up"
Mrs Brown Boys - totally offensive to like that shit

TooStressyForMyOwnGood · 15/07/2017 18:30

DH and I love him. Keep meaning to watch Veep - thanks for the reminder Brave.

BasiliskStare · 16/07/2017 00:00

Or indeed , when Nicola M can't get in the lift - " Not only ........ does your daughter have to be taken to school in a fucking sedan chair.......... "

One for the secondary education boards Grin

I suppose it's a bit non pc and the language - I don't care though - it makes me laugh - when they are in the chapel in In the Loop and MT just says you an F star star Cunt. ( And also - don't you ever call me English ) I read once and can well believe it how hard it was for Peter C to learn all those lines to be able to deliver them like a diatribe

Oh I love Julius Nicholson - Yes well I am now off in search of a maize based snack.

Someone once called me the Malcolm Tucker of my office. I was most proud.

BasiliskStare · 16/07/2017 00:09

Bear - you have my deepest respect.

& yes yes re Mrs Browns boys - there must be a sternly worded letter to the telegraph to be written about that being billed as a "comedy". I do not get it. But then I never found Lenny Henry remotely funny but obv. plenty of people did.

Basilisk I think I would quite like an adult version of Dr Who.

I also love Malcolm Tucker and need to rewatch the show.
