I am . Not only because I like the songs, but also because I'm looking forward to the chance to letch at some nice young men under the guise of good wholesome family entertainment .

I hadn't though of it that way . I have to say, I got very bored with Maria, though.

Posey · 24/03/2007 21:49

Agree JackieNo, can't wait. Have been getting a bit bored by the ice skating, need some nice young men to ogle, and good tunes to sing along to

JackieNo · 24/03/2007 21:51

I actually enjoyed Maria most of the way through, so am expecting this to be as good. Presumably when the unlucky person leaves at the end of each show they're going to sing 'Close every door to me' at him.

(I think I need to get out more)

southeastastra · 24/03/2007 21:52

Posey · 24/03/2007 21:55

Quick hijack for Hoxtonchick, have you seen the meet-up thread? See you Monday?

And yes, we did Joseph at school. Still think I know most of the words

FairyEdwards · 24/03/2007 21:56

I love Joseph but could not bring myself to watch something like this!

lionheart · 24/03/2007 22:04

What is it? Are they casting for a new show?

hoxtonchick · 24/03/2007 22:05

see you on monday posey .

JackieNo · 24/03/2007 22:06

Lionheart - this is it - starts next weekend, Saturday, I think.

I think I will have to get dh to watch it - he's still humming 'the hills are alive...', so it would be nice to have a change

DD2 is obsessed with musical theatre and is already gearing up for Joseph - I bought her the score last week as she was told she could choose some new songs for her singing lessons - house is ringing with Any Dream will do at the moment, but like others on this thread, I was getting a bit tired of the Sound of Music anyway. Also have been forced to watch a half-naked Donny Osmond once a day or thereabouts for the past couple of weeks which is not all bad....

RosaLuxembourg · 25/03/2007 14:53

Also my cousin played Elvis/Pharoah in our school production and she was brilliant so I have really good memories of the show.

deaconblue · 25/03/2007 18:54

Joseph is fab. Directed it once as a school musical, the kids loved it. Headteacher wouldn't let us have the chorus throw knickers at Elvis (in Tom jones styley) so we threw huge granny pants. LOL

allieBongo · 25/03/2007 18:56

I am going to see Connie in July I'm sure that one of the blokes on the trailer is the balding bloke out of Hi-5 who really over exaggerates everything

fannyannie · 26/03/2007 13:22

I@m loooking forward to it too

slayerette · 26/03/2007 16:41

Does anyone know if John Barrowman will be on the panel again - there's a reason to watch...I know, I know, he's gay, but a woman can dream...

RosaLuxembourg · 26/03/2007 17:17

I totally agree, Slayerette.

RosaLuxembourg · 26/03/2007 17:21

Yes he is. Hooray! Here's the link

Roskva70percentcocoa · 26/03/2007 18:55

Now there's a reason to watch

nikkie · 26/03/2007 21:06

JB is on most programmes this week
