Just started watching Pretty Little Liars

Please please please no spoilers I'm only half way through season 1!

I'm finding the relationships REALLY inappropriate. One of them is going out with her teacher. Another keeps getting off with her sister's boyfriends. These men are what, 24/25? And the girls are 15/16. Why is no one watching out for these girls?! And why are they framing it as normal, these blokes are horrible predators! I feel like they want to make a real romance out of the student/teacher relationship but I want to scream "he's grooming you!" At the TV.

Also another has befriended a boy who blatantly fancies her and he's getting very stroppy that she won't return his feelings, yet is painted as the nice guy

My favourite is Emily, I feel so bad the way her mother reacted when she told her she was gay I like it so far, I'm not on the edge of my seat though I have to say! Does it get better and please tell me the girls stop getting creeped on by older guys?

Save yourself now. You will get to the end after 7 seasons and think, I can't believe I wasted my time on that! So many ridiculous twists and plot holes.
