Tell me what happens in the end of House of cards

I'm finding this season very dull and boring and I can't be bothered to watch it to the end....so .... who wins in the end and becomes president. My guess is Claire.

I watched about 4 of the first season and gave up......

Just in case people didn't get that from the title

We ploughed through, and got to the end, but it was pretty boring. I went on Wikipedia and checked back on the plot and realised I'd missed lots because I was playing on my phone! Claire was president, she was supposed to pardon Francis for election fixing (I think) but then she refused. He spoke to camera saying if she didn't, he would kill her.

Oh, and she killed her journalist boyfriend with poison, and he died while she was having sex with him! I kind of started taking an interest (last episode!) then!

They really shouldn't make anymore.

It only got interesting in the last 2 episodes when they were trying to tie everything up.

The plotting until that point was unfathomable. Im also going to go back and read on Wikipedia. DH and I have been falling asleep through some of the episodes.
