Saw it last night. Have never heard of it before. Omg. Naked people - full frontal nudity, chat about 'showers, not growers' and labia.

Wtaf??

How did they get so many people happy to appear naked on national tv?? And since when did people choose a partner based on their genitals?? I was horrified.

I saw about 2 mins of the previous series.

It made me feel physically sick. I think it's vile.

bambambini · 02/07/2017 23:59

I was surprised that i think it's ok.

MommaGee · 03/07/2017 00:01

Watched the last series. They're all clearly very aware of what is happening and its equal men / women so whilst I wouldn't go on it I'm hypnotically transfixed if I flip and its on

Yuk!
I just cannot believe that nearly everyone these days has;

  1. Tatoos
  2. Body piercings (other than ears)
  3. Shaved pubes.

Is this a true reflection on society in 2017 or is more a by-product of the type of people who go on such a show?

Aeroflotgirl · 07/08/2017 19:51

Its car crash tv, and voyurism. Who the hell would want to appear on national tv bearing their all, everyone can see them, including their parents, boss, friends, family. No no no, have they no shame! God I sound like Mary Whitehouse, actually she would be turning in her grave Grin.

Aeroflotgirl · 07/08/2017 19:53

Well there was a tv programme recently about Female sexuality, and this woman was masturbating on national tv, whilst physical signs were being monitored Shock. Is nothing private anymore. I can just imagine a bunch of pervs salivating over that.

PickleSarnie · 07/08/2017 19:58

It's so weird. I assume they have jobs. They have to go into work the next day knowing that everyone had seen them naked.

One person at work has seen me naked (dodgy lock on the shower cubicle) and I could have died with embarrassment. That person couldn't have recorded my nakedness at least.

dottypotter · 09/08/2017 14:56

channel 4 rubbish how low can they go?

demirose87 · 09/08/2017 15:03

It just promotes the idea that loving relationships are based solely on looks and sex and nothing else. I'm not a prude but I found the amount of nudity unmecessary. Does anyone remember a programme called Sex Box? That used to turn my stomach.

itseasybeingcheesy · 09/08/2017 15:33

I stumbled across it and watched it for two minutes. Was disgusted. Turned off.

We keep talking about how we have to teach children to respect each other and not go become sex obsessed teenagers or become obsessed with their bodies and the way they look for their self esteem but there are tv shows full of adults doing just that. Whittling people down to be nothing more than the way their bodies look. Great!

Also flaccid peni look gross anyway, nobody looks at one and goes "oh how beautiful!" The same with a vulva surely?!

BreconBeBuggered · 09/08/2017 23:57

I don't catch it very often, but if you stay awake until the end of each encounter they show how the 'couple' have interacted with their clothes on. The lack of chemistry and the awkwardness are excruciating. It's oddly instructive: don't be so bloody shallow next time, you idiots.

Want2bSupermum · 10/08/2017 00:08

It's awful. I was home with my dad and turned the TV to see a naked woman. They camera zoomed in on her lady bits the screen froze. I was horrified and turned the TV off until the half hour was up and switched it back on again.

It's a clear signal to show as a society just how far we have allowed things to deteriorate. It's not normal and it's not ok to promote this type of relationship as normal. It's not normal at all and I think we are screwing up teenagers by pretending this sort of relationship is.

I'm married and in my late 30s. If this is the crap people in their 20s have to deal with I am so thankful I'm not in that generation.

Footle · 11/08/2017 20:57

The plural of penis is penises.

Graphista · 11/08/2017 21:04

I actually love it. Interesting as the choosers tend to infer personality characteristics on body parts and poses. Often wrongly

NecklessMumster · 11/08/2017 21:12

It makes me laugh tho i am horrified as well by the normalisation of pubeslessness .The men that get turned down cos theyve got little willies..surely they then have to face going into work knowing theyve been on national telly? And the pretence at educational bits, and the end bit when they hardly ever get onGrin

Themostannoyingperson · 11/08/2017 21:12

"When judging a horse or woman always look at the legs" quote from a 70's book. And we thought times had moved on...

AlessandroVasectomi · 12/08/2017 13:50

For me the programme shows that context is important in nudity. The nude bodies most of us see ( other than our partners) are the ideal and sometimes photoshopped images in periodicals and adverts. When 'ordinary' people are lined up In a studio sans clothes, I don't find it that erotic. Real people come in all shapes and sizes and are fairly typically represented on this programme. The only exception I have seen is the female who was on first in this week's programme. She worked out in the gym regularly and had a real centrefold figure, but most of the other women are either pear shaped or stick thin or 'imperfect' in some other way. But they are REAL people and that aspect at least is refreshing. I'm not qualified to comment on the male participants as I don't particularly like looking at nude men. I find the way the show is done very awkward and embarrassing for the participants when the presenter tries to treat it all so naturally. My wife says it's rather like that when she has her smear tests, lying back with her legs akimbo while the health professional makes small talk about the weather etc as though they were having a chat over a cup of tea.

Graphista · 12/08/2017 16:10

I like how it makes me feel more comfortable with my own body and its oddities.
