What's with the random complete personality change for Sid?

I've kept meaning to ask this question. I missed the episode where Bren died, only saw the recaps. Did Rob and Emma neglect her? Was Rob blanking it all out because of his PTSD - and what did he blank exactly? Anyone like to fill me in? Cheers!

Rob did do the checks, I think the CCTV showed him doing it, but he can not remember and he didn't write it in the log. (I think)

As blamethecat said, he didn't write all checks in the log but cctv shows he did them but he can't remember and told the investigating officers that he couldn't remember. 6tl didn't check her on arrival because rob and the arresting officer decided she didn't need to be seen as she was fine so no one has done anything wrong other than 6tl saying that rob was fine when she knew he wasn't quite right.
