Anne with an E (Anne of Green Gables) on Netflix

Is anybody watching this? I've just finished - I loved it! Pure lovely escapism and very well done I think.

I loved it too. It's beautifully filmed and the divergence of the storyline from the original is brilliant. I assume it's sponsored by the Canada tourist board - all the scenery is stunning!

It's a remake - with some diversions from the book as I understand (I need to read it!) - it's called 'Anne with an E'

Got to episode four but Anne gets on my nerves.

It's MUCH blacker than the book, with a lot of flashback into Anne's life pre-Green Gables. And some very made-up bits. But I think they fit in well to the story and even though I'm a huge fan of the books, they do add a certain something.

I can't wait for another series!
