Watchdog - the broadband feature

I only saw the beginning of the programme as I turned over for Dragons' Den. Which broadband company was voted worst, and how did they defend themselves?...

Here are the results of the surevey -

BT came top of everything, except value for money. TalkTalk and Orange came bottom. The person from Orange was in, but I didn't bother to hear what he was saying.

BT also came 3rd in the worst BB providers!

I'm amazed at BT being top - they were shit for me. Their customer service is the worst I have ever encountered.

Orange said how wonderful their mobile phone service was.....

Oh and that their bb service is loads better than 3 months ago - and is still improving (down from 1 month to 1 week to fix a fault!!!)

BT only lost out on Value for Money. For the rest it was a definite leader.

Wouldn't read too much into it tho. Pretty poor survey IMO. Also one of the little ones did really well - but only a handful of people commented on it.

Well the results they gave were based on number of votes (so BT came top cos they had more people in the survey using them). The relative results show BT were actually 20th out of 29. Loads of smaller ISPs did better than the big companies but watchdog didn't really point this out.

Good point Nutty Girl met you on my moaning about Bt thread. Agree Unquietdad resoundly they poooooo!
