See, I loved it and hated it in equal measures!
LOVED the direct comparrison between Mona and Charlotte. It's so black and white, so simple- they're Good and Bad. It was always Moma's game, wasn't it? Mona and Charlotte both wanted dolls. Mona got her's in the end.
Hated the whole Twin Story. It would have been better if it'd gone further back- ie, Alex appeared after the time jump, and Spencer was in the electric house all along
Don't even get me started on PSW.
Did anyone think that the Emison twins were going to serve as our "Twin theory answer"? I could just imagine MK saying "ok, they wanted twins, there y'go!"
Well, before Alex turned up...that was an enjoyable shock (until she opened her mouth. I have a natural, still-comes-out-when-I'm-pissed American accent, and even I could hear how pants it was).
Why a three hour shagging scene?
Alison acting like a 1950's dad- wandering in, patting the kids on the head, then fucking off out again.
Mary Drake- I wish I hadn't been right about that. She could have escaped, teamed up with Mona, and become The Big Good!
MK's kids were cute. She, on the other hand, was awful! At least when Sara Sheppard made a cameo, she was a passable actress! In fact, compared to the newsreader she shared her second cameo with, she was amazing! ("Is this kid going down, down, down?" Spare me!)
And if PSW only got involved after meeting Alex, what about all the Camera Eyes and coloring books?
HOWEVER...
As someone who was traumatized at the finale of A.L.F at the age of about 7, at least PLL was better than that.
