Suitable for children

Given recent events and the phenomenal work of emergency services I'm wondering if there is such a thing as a child friendly film demonstrating just what women are capable of. Dd1 is aged nearly 11 and has seen all the usual things like the gabby Douglas story and things like full out showing girls overcoming extreme odds to reach incredible achievements in the sports world. But I'd really like her to see one where there are strong female leads portraying the.likes of Drs and fire fighters etc.

Is there such a thing ?

Im.no where near intelligent enough to delve into the realms of true feminism but I was reading a book today to dd2...just one of those stupid rhyming toddler style books and although it was talking about vehicles rather than people the word "he" was used the entire time. I'd really love to have the girls read something or watch a film where the real heroes were what real people could be.

Stupid I know but given the films I was watching at their ages and the books ideas reading I have no idea really what's appropriate nor do I know of any that really show this kind of stuff Blush

Apologies for what is essentially a really lame post but it's Sunday tomorrow and I'm working so if there's a til they could watch tomorrow....
