That must be awful someone coming into your house while your in your pyjamas saying your under arrest for something like that.

Just watching it now. I thought the younger guy in the first interview was innocent, but now seeing the texts of the second girl, seem not. The older guy knows hes been caught, but is trying so hard to not say anything to incriminate himself.

One pled guilty to 2 counts - got 6 years. The other pled guilty - denied penetrative abuse as is awaiting sentencing.

Got to say I thought the young man was guilty (though I tend believe the woman first though). Then I thought to myself that I shouldn't think that way and be impartial. Until he said that the 15 year old dressed provocatively because 'she liked the comments' and I thought what comments? if he knew there were comments then he made them or at the very least accepted they were ok.

Yes i am serious , i can empathise with someone being arrested its still an unpleasant thing with all your family there, im not suggesting their innocent etc or anything

half So what is your suggestion for an alternative then? He's being arrested for a serious offence and it doesn't matter what he is wearing of if his family is there. Of course being arrested isn't "pleasant".

I wasnt suggesting an alternative nowhere in my post did i suggest there should be. I simply said it must be horrible to be infront of your family being arrested having stuff like that read out about you, that is all no manipulation of what i said neccesary.

I'm wondering if the people have to agree to these programmes being televised.

If you think it's awful then surely you have an alternative in mind? Do you expect them to phone ahead to make sure they are dressed and no family about?

You don't mention family in your first post just that it must be awful to be arrested for something like that in your pj's.

half Having first hand experience of the crimes these guys were arrested for, I'm not too sure how to take your post. I'm pretty sure that the endless questions and having to go in to graphic detail about what they went through is much, much worse than the abuser being arrested in front of his family. If he feels embarrassed, ashamed etc I'm pretty sure it's not a patch on the shame that I feel as a victim.

I was fooled by the young man in the first police interview too as soon as they revealed the texts and he started with the "no comment"ing I knew I had been duped by his remarkable acting.

The young mad looked pretty stunned i did at that point feel a bit sorry for him.
