Just watched episode 1, think I'll carry on, not 100% sure about Julia Stiles though, I like her but don't know if she's the right person in this (so far anyway).

Infact I'm missing all my lightweight dramas and I gave up on Greys a long time ago so I'm looking forward to watching something that doesn't keep me awake half the night The Handmaids Tale does.

Waited weeks for this, hoping to love it as much as Big little lies.

Feels a bit souless so far, fingers crossed it will get better, desperate for something meaty to watch.

I had high hopes for this and was hoping it was going to be this year'x Night Manager. Alas, I think it's the worst thing I've ever seen. The dialogue is so unbelievably clunky and the acting is so bad I'm embarrassed for them. Pfffff. Lovely clothes though.

Must have cost squillions but has the feel of an American Days of our lives type daytime soap.

We watched but we were both nonplussed.

I like the fact the women haven't had nips and tucks Lena Olin is still gorgeous. However in that world they would be more plastic looking I'd have thought, lovely outfits. It's true she is miscast as the new wife I feel she should be younger dare I say like Emily from Revenge.

Doesn't remotely compare to Big Little Lies. Not sure I believe in, or care about, any of the characters. Will maybe watch next week.

Are they all English some of them look and act like they were in Hollyoaks

Hmm, just watched the first episode. Not sure really. It has some good actors in it, but I have started to realise that that is no guarantee of quality drama! I suppose most actors, even if they are fairly well known, can't afford to turn down parts due to clunky storylines and poor writing - pity. And probably it was quite a pleasant location to film in!

It's not terrible, though, I will give the next episode a go and see how it pans out.

Is this full of graphic sex? My ILs have suggested to watch this tonight at ours and I haven't recovered since we watched THAT episode of Game of Thrones.

I don't mind if its trash but I'd like to know whether to excuse myself, rather than choke on my profiterole as MIL discusses the sex scenes.

I'm up to episode 3. Quite a bit of sex and oral sex shown.

Thanks Rainbow, I think I'll busy myself for the hour. Dh can enjoy the 3-generational awkwardness of watching sex scenes with both his parents and children.
