Episode 6 and loving it.

On episode 3 and really not enjoying it. Previous seasons were so much better.

Think that there's some amazing actresses on this show.

Love the flashbacks to pre-prison life. I had a very black and white view of criminals pre-OINTB and have learned how lucky and privileged my life has been.

I never had a harsh view on criminals as im a solicitor and crime was part of my training.

Alot are from difficult backgrounds and even locking someone up for relatively minor crimes, all it does is make life more difficult and expose them to more hardened criminals and the potential to reoffend.

Look at the drugs in prison, Maria Ruiz and her drug ring, Daya getting caught up in it and committing worse crimes, Piper starting an illegal panty business. What benefit was there to putting them in jail it just made them worse.

People like Daya, Poussey, et al should have been given community service. Locking them up ruined their lives.

It's the same here: drugs in prison etc.

I liked how they added the story of Linda Ferguson (MCC Head of Purchasing) If she'd had a different background then she'd probably be in Litchfield too.

Ha! I'm dying to discuss it at length too- but I don't know how to without spoilers!

One thing I was pissed about though, is the fact that they blatantly ripped off Joan Ferguson's backstory from PCBH for Piscatella. I'm THE world's biggest PCBH fan- even though I'm actually too young to remember it the first time around. 😂

I think the Linda and Janae stories were similar in that they were two women who didn't fit in to the educational elite .... but for different reasons

And agree half those people shouldn't have even been in there although it's obviously just a tv show I thought it has often been very realistic with just how easy it could be to end up like that. One mistake. Or just being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Yrs she's amazing isn't she. Can't be an easy character to play. She is incredible

I found myself mesmerised watching her as she is so intense as the character.

I saw her in "Tallulah " the other day- she's fab!

Omg and Piper started on about Kondo in E5. Are the writers MNers?!

Just finished it tonight. Didn't enjoy the first few episodes, as was waiting for the riot to end... the final few episodes were good though, addictive as previous series. My dad died from a stroke so from a personal perspective I found the jokes about the guard hard to swallow. I think on the whole it needed a bit more humour, and the final scene was very emotional. I wonder where it will go from here..?!

Just finished the series. Really enjoyed it, and I thought the actress who plays Taystee really stole the show, fantastic especially her speech outside the prison. Nicely done.

Yes Cherry I thought the actress who played Tastee was outstanding - particularly in the last two episodes. Heartbreaking that, for her, it was ultimately all for nothing
