Did anyone watch? I found it absolutely fascinating. I had no idea of musical sophistication behind it all, particularly given the very limited recording machinery available at the time.

Watching on catch up now. I love the way Howard Goodall dissects music to its theoretical elements. You can tell he's a huge fan.

Yes a brilliant programme. I was 16 when it was released , we knew it sounded different but didn't know why!

btw Radio 4 extra did a whole day's programme about the people on the cover of Sgt.Pepper. Worth downloading but a bit boring about the people who I don't like!
