I've not seen todays yet

Has Mrs T spoken to Trevor yet ? She had a missed call, and I would expect her to have called him back.

Raah I hope your daughter is going to wear jeans and a thick jumper tonight Grin

LarrytheCucumber · 26/05/2017 17:49

Would even a desperate social worker match that baby with them?

LIZS · 26/05/2017 17:53

I thought you were approved as foster carers for a specific age group. Not sure a ft working middle aged couple would ever be asked to have a young baby!

blamethecat · 26/05/2017 20:21

Mac is in Eastenders!

cinnamongreyhound · 26/05/2017 21:18

Exactly that was my thought how can they look after a baby when they're both at work most of the time!

LarrytheCucumber · 27/05/2017 06:38

Ah, but isn't Rob off because he has PTSD - which makes him an ideal candidate to look after a baby who has had drug withdrawal.Confused

toldmywrath · 27/05/2017 11:14

I haven't had the chance to watch Thursday and Friday's yet. But I meant to mention the other day, when Rob Plod stood and shook hands with his boss, there were bare trees and snow on the ground in the background shot.Grin

blame I read that 'Mac' was going to be in EastEnders too- we need Juuulia to turn up now. Grin

blamethecat · 27/05/2017 16:00

I couldn't remember his name and nearly posted that 'Thingy' was in Eastenders but decided that was crap even by my usual standards !
'thingy' who was in Holby (or Casualty) who then went on masterchef and married/had an affair with John Terode (sp?) was also in Eastenders lat night (I only have to watch it Friday because I get in late and ds was asleep on the sofa, dp is a real 'enders fan)

Raahh · 27/05/2017 17:31
Grin I am a big fan of 'thingy'. They crop up everywhere!
HarveySchlumpfenburger · 27/05/2017 20:17

I love 'thingy'. They're always good whatever they are in. Grin

Juuulia does need to come back. I might even pay to watch an episode if she does.

Raahh · 27/05/2017 20:20
Grin

We should start a petition. Only Juuuulia though, not the whingy granddaughter,

AnneEyhtMeyer · 27/05/2017 20:56

Mac in Eastenders? Is he there with Kate?

HarveySchlumpfenburger · 27/05/2017 21:43

I'd forgotten the granddaughter. I think I was watching that on BBC Worldwide in Turkey a couple of years ago. I wonder how far they've got now.

toldmywrath · 28/05/2017 15:59

I'd have thought a baby going through withdrawal would need medical supervision, so if it's only for a few days why can Marnie not remain in hospital?

OP posts:
toldmywrath · 28/05/2017 16:02

I have a cat called Marnie. Named after Hitchcock's Marnie, who used to go a bit loopy at the colour red.

My cat is a fruit loop all the time.

I also know a goat named Marnie, with eyebrows like Alistair Darling's. Smile

LarrytheCucumber · 28/05/2017 17:33

I think the baby had had her last Methadone so was allowed to leave hospital told. I know someone fostering a baby in similar circumstances. The baby was allowed into foster care after four or five weeks, but it takes a while for everything to leave the system.

toldmywrath · 28/05/2017 18:47

Oh Larry, isn't it a crying shame that babies can be born addicted to drugs. So sad that their mothers are not able to stop when pregnant. Sad

OP posts:
LarrytheCucumber · 28/05/2017 19:16

Yes it is told. This isn't the first time this family have fostered a baby from drug dependent parents.Sad

walmo · 28/05/2017 22:28

There is a thread in Classics "drug dependent baby, advice needed" by a wonderful poster EarthMotherImNot, it's quite near the front.

I'm sure some of you will have read it, it's a special thread, but not for the fainthearted, it's very upsetting. It stays with you.

Not sure I can handle watching Gobby with this story line.

redshoeblueshoe · 28/05/2017 22:44

told Grin I think we need a picture of Marnie the goat that's got Alistair Dowlings eyebrows although the more I think of it don't all goats have his eyebrows

redshoeblueshoe · 29/05/2017 12:34

I accidently caught the end of This Morning - and they had spoilers for Doctors

I am not happy, I won't repeat them, but if anyone wants a pm just let me know Grin

RTKangaMummy · 29/05/2017 13:10

Red shoe i am watching on +1 so is it spoilers for just this week or is it into the future weeks?

redshoeblueshoe · 29/05/2017 13:33

sorry they didn't make it clear, but one was a bit grim, but actually its not really a spoiler - saying rob isn't well - well we know that - the other sounds as though it could be hilarious

redshoeblueshoe · 29/05/2017 13:35

And no Doctors today - they should give us warnings, I guess it will be Wimbledon soon, and we will all be forgotten about
