This poor woman with these cluster headaches.

OP posts:

They didn't make it clear what had helped. I also hope she continues to improve.

IgnoreMeEveryOtherReindeerDoes · 15/05/2017 22:12

I came here as I missed the treatment part Gemma? was doing.

I was in hospital for a week as a child with same awful pains in head, had this check that check finally got eyerolling and sent home.

DeathByMascara · 15/05/2017 22:19

I have trigeminal neuralgia - that's exactly what it's like. Thankfully my attacks are infrequent, nothing like as regular as that, but the 'suicide' nickname is horribly apt.

JustDanceAddict · 15/05/2017 22:28

Dr Chatterjee can come to my house any day!!
Seriously though, I really felt for the woman with the headaches. Not sure what 'cured' it in the end, I think the chiropractor.

ihatethecold · 15/05/2017 22:42

I could have cried watching her in so much pain.
I was a bit Shock at her DH drinking beer after a night shift.

AvaCrowder2 · 16/05/2017 02:27

That poor woman. How she just stopped feeling pain and carried on. Of course it would be better for her dc if she didn't experience the headaches, they looked like hell to me. I hope the chiropractor has helped.

And that man who plays ice hockey, wow, I take my hat off to him.

MrsSiba · 17/05/2017 20:00

Loved series 1 and glad it's back. Dr Rangan didn't stay over with them this time. Agree with pp I really felt for the little girl trying to comfort her mum.

I'm not clear on the difference between a chiropractor and an osteopath. We saw both but I thought the latter was the more respected?

CiliatedEpithelium · 18/05/2017 07:09

I found this very frustrating to watch as we never really got to hear to what was assumed to be the reason for the reductions in the lady's headaches. When they interviewed Doc Chattergee on Breakfast TV he mentioned that he had prescribed her CoEnzyme Q10 as it has been shown to help with suicide headaches but there was no mention of this in the program.
I was sad to see that she had been to see 'Neurologists' and yet the reverse curvature of her neck came as a surprise to her. This is a basic examination surely? How come she hasn't had a neck XRay already and this not seen? I realise it can't be solely related to this as the headaches stopped when she was pregnant but.....
Did anyone else notice how the redness of the husbands face went away after the diet? Nothing wrong with a beer after a nightshift. It's part of his winding down routine. It's the fact he only had two hours in bed that was of concern. I have previously enjoyed this series but after seeing that poor woman in utter agony the outcome was unsatisfying and I expected better.

CiliatedEpithelium · 18/05/2017 07:11

Also cringe when they pronounce Rangan as Wrong 'Un as he's lovely isn't he Grin Had to laugh when he bangs on about other peoples posture when his own is pretty terrible but I luffs him all the same Grin

AnotheBloodyChinHair · 18/05/2017 07:20

I don't think it's possible to shelter your kids from a chronic illness that affects you several times daily. It's just the four of them at home, what else are they supposed to do?

I also felt I had missed a chunk of the program as it wasn't clear to me what helped her in the end.

buggerthebotox · 19/05/2017 15:59

I felt this was a bit unsatisfying too. The husband definitely looked much better at the end, but what was it exactly that helped the headaches?

I was a bit Confused at the curvature, particularly as the lady had been in a car accident in the past. Surely someone must have joined the dots?

And what part did the diet play, in the end?

Ineedagoodusername · 22/05/2017 21:18

Anyone watching this week? That is a lot of alcohol!

JustDanceAddict · 22/05/2017 21:19

Feel bad for the woman - but her eyebrows!!!

JustDanceAddict · 22/05/2017 21:20

Eyelashes I mean!

Ineedagoodusername · 22/05/2017 21:23

I thought she maybe had a wig on. Intrigued by the guy who can't sleep.

JustDanceAddict · 22/05/2017 21:27

She's very slim for someone who drinks and eats utter shite.

Ineedagoodusername · 22/05/2017 21:31

She didn't realise there was a link between mood and what you eat? Shock

colouringinagain · 22/05/2017 21:52

Can't believe how much better this guy is for a shedload of b12!!! This doc has given him a life!

Ollivander84 · 22/05/2017 22:06

He could have been me. 8 years of exhausted, then night sweats, then constant infections, countless bloods done. It took a doctor to open every single blood test and go through all the results to spot that I needed an emergency haematology referral

Ineedagoodusername · 22/05/2017 22:08

I have low b12 Dr won't give me injections. Wonder what those tablets were?

Ollivander what happened once they realised that ?

Ollivander84 · 22/05/2017 22:11

I was diagnosed with autoimmune neutropenia, I kill off my neutrophils so don't have enough to fight infection. My consultant likes levels to be between 2.5 - 8 and mine were 0.3 at diagnosis. Now inject myself with GCSF (used for chemo patients a lot) once a week and I haven't had any infections in nearly 2 years

Ineedagoodusername · 22/05/2017 22:12

That's great

TizzyDongue · 22/05/2017 22:12

The doctor is very tall isn't he!!!

I thought the same too JustDanceAddict, most peoplr would have a signifant spare tire

RebootYourEngine · 23/05/2017 18:27

I havent watched this programme before and not sure if i will continue watching.

The doctor seems to have lead quite a sheltered life. It all seems to focus on diet. I would also say that of course there would be a high chance of someone who was homeless ending up with issues sleeping but the doctor seemed surprised.

MrsSiba · 29/05/2017 20:36

On again tonight. Eating disorders in children
