I reckon that blokes wife deserves an award for still managing to smile after her husband's complete lack of planning, common sense etc in what was supposed to have been a home for them and their children........

I would have been booked into a hotel with the kids and nagging DH constantly about his incompetence....

I thought it was the maddest couple ive ever seen on grand designs !! They had no idea what they were doing ! no design whatsoever ! i hated their houseboat ! the only nice thing abt it was the views!.And the wife- how cheery was she ?! surely beneath her interier she must have wanted to scream , im amazed their marriage is still intact after all that ...

I thought she was kind of cheery, bordering on hysteria . Not surprising really. What a cock up. I thought the whole process really aged the bloke as well.

I also missed the actual reason for their eviction - assumed that everyone prob realised how insane they were OR that they hadn't paid their mooring fees...
