It was on last year and the main character was recently widowed with a teenage daughter and a younger son. The husband had left loads of debt so she lost her house so she moved to where they were building a new town in the north of England. She ended up running a boarding house for the workers and there was a brothel run by one of her neighbours. She got involved with a man she met on the train on the way there who'd come for work but it turned out that he was the estranged brother of the man running the building work. There was a black American man in charge of the workforce who was a bit dodgy. Some of the men were killed in an explosion. Can anyone remember what it was called. Would also like to know if there was/is going to be another series.
