The Pointless Podiums

Ok, so I might just be having a divvy moment here, but on BBC's Pointless, what happens to the podiums when a couple is eliminated. In some shots, they appear to have completely vanished. Does anyone know what happens to them, and hopefully I'm not the only one that has wondered this!

Well it's not live so I expect they take a short break and some crew lift them out and move the remaining ones into place.

Aaah, I wasn't sure if they were very permanent, but that makes a lot of sense.

I think Richard Osman has some kind of disintegration ray gun.
At least, I hope so after watching some of the 'Celebrity' shows were the participants appear to know so little

Hiya I was actually on it so I actually saw them move them! They take a break loads of men and women run on, move everything around, and then you all get back on stage, get your make up touched up and then it happens again! (We won the jackpot btw AND more importantly, the pointless trophy!

Yes! They were SO lovely!! They film three a day and we were the last one after a long week of filming so they were pretty tired. Richard was quite quiet as he was tired but he came over to each couple and spoke to us all beforehand and then so did "Xander" as all the staff called them. I actually had two hugs off Alexander when we won and he was SO lovely (and really good looking in real life!) all the runners and the crew etc all seemed to love them too and they were really polite and nice to everyone, no diva behaviour from them. It was a brilliant experience.

I can confirm what Mornington Crescent says, as I've been a contestant too, and we also won! Xander and Richard were lovely, as were all the crew too. Great experience. Our episode hasn't been aired yet.

Have you been on air yet xanadu, we were told we'd get an email close to the airing date. We were filmed in July last year!

Yeah mine was a few years ago! We've been on challenge aswell! Ha! I was on celebrity squares too and that was repeated on Christmas Day. You'll be an instant celebrity with people you haven't seen for years when Pointless airs! A LOT more people watch it than you realise!
