Can I watch Line of Duty series 4 if I haven't watched 3?

Hi all

Quick question as title says! Will there be any plot spoilers if I watch series 4 currently on iplayer? I've watched 1 and 2 on Netflix but can't find series 3 anywhere Sad

Thanks!

Series 3 has been on BBC I Player very recently. It may be on BBC and you could also pick it up in HMV on special offer.
You can watch Series 4 without Series 3 as Series 3 wrapped up a lot of things.

StoorieHoose · 17/04/2017 10:54

Yes you can. And you must watch all the series! Think you really need to watch 2 before you watch 3 though

bellatrixlestrange124 · 17/04/2017 11:01

Argh it's no longer playing on iplayer, only series 4! It's not as easy for me to buy on watch on TV also really hoping I could find it online somewhere...

I read on another LOD thread that Sainsbury's have the box set of the first 3 series if that appeals? However you do it you must watch all 3 previous series at some point, it's beyond excellent.

buggerthebotox · 17/04/2017 15:20

It's on youtube.

Doilooklikeatourist · 17/04/2017 15:22

I've only watched 3rd series and the current one
IPlayer had a resume catch-up type thing and the 3rd series

SpookyPotato · 17/04/2017 16:20

I've started on series 4 and haven't felt I needed to watch previous series, but I certainly want to now Grin

SuperPug · 17/04/2017 16:57

Spooky, been rewatching it from Series 1, best police drama on TV.
Last episode of Series 3 - Shock

BestIsWest · 17/04/2017 17:02

Yes. I haven't seen any of the others.

JustDanceAddict · 17/04/2017 17:29

I am!

bellatrixlestrange124 · 17/04/2017 23:50

Grrrr now I just really want to watch series 3!! Wish it was still on iplayer!

Me too! Just been trying to find series 3. Infuriating it's disappeared from iplayer. Apparently it was on Netflix for a day in march but got pulled due to licensing issues.

SpookyPotato · 19/04/2017 07:50

I've been watching it here:

musicmaiden · 19/04/2017 08:00

I suspect Netflix released it too soon. Reckon they will be allowed to put it on once series 4 has finished on the Beeb and has disappeared from iPlayer.

FoonaBaboona · 20/04/2017 12:33

MY DP has just come back from France and was watching Season 3 on Netflix over there so French Netflix seem to have it.

I think you can get round this by watching it on Netflix on Chrome and using the Hola extension to access it like you were viewing from France.

FoonaBaboona · 20/04/2017 12:37

Just tried it and it doesn't like the fact I'm using a proxy although series 3 is definitely available on there...oh well, it was almost a good idea!

bellatrixlestrange124 · 21/04/2017 12:13

Ooo just seen more replies, thanks! Argh I'm so impatient... not sure I can wait until Netflix uploads it!

SpookyPotato · 21/04/2017 13:11

Try my link OP, I'm literally watching it now Smile

ktel1 · 21/04/2017 15:36

No need to wait for Netflix use my link or Spooky's

tattychicken · 21/04/2017 15:42

It's also available to buy on BBC Store. Cost £10.99 though but I was desperate. 😬

bellatrixlestrange124 · 21/04/2017 16:37

Are the links good quality and do they have all the episodes? Will have a look later.

Is the BBC store a DVD or can you watch online?

Thanks!

OP posts:
tattychicken · 21/04/2017 16:47

BBC store is online, website or app, you can download or stream. Yes whole of Series 3 is available.

bellatrixlestrange124 · 21/04/2017 17:39

tattychicken Thanks!! I'll buy this weekend and binge watch on iPad. Feel nervous about watching illegal versions because of my job so will definitely buy online!

Ha! I'm the same! My husband watched it on some dodgy site, assured me I could do the same, and grumbled at my £10.99 pay out but I'm much happier watching it legally. And it is totally worth it.
