This fitbit story is rubbish. I looked at mine this morning after general pottering around at breakfast I'd done nearly 1000 before I left for work. It's walk to work Wednesday and I did another 3000 steps (work not too far away)

Told please could you walk across the room with it on your wrist then put it on your ankle and see if it counts the same number, cos I really don't get how they work properly on your wrist

I have one (not a fitbit, but I can't remember the make) and I cant make it go up just by shaking my wrist, which seems to happen to some people. I also find it doesn't work by just walking on the spot.
