I've been rewatching series 1 on demand. Series 2 looks great from what the trailer showed

I'm looking forward to this too

George Blagden is hotter than hell with his long hair and moustache

I love him as Athelstan when he goes all Viking,

BagelGoesWalking · 10/04/2017 15:12

If you liked that, have a look at The Last Kingdom. Danes invading, Saxons, King Alfred etc.

S1 on Netflix, S2 on iPlayer but Ep1 only available until Saturday.

EnidButton · 10/04/2017 21:28

Ooh! I didn't know this was back. It was a slow burner but I loved it by the end.

Especially Alex Vlahos who I think is wonderful and should be the next Doctor Who

zukiecat · 11/04/2017 12:49

Bagel

The Last Kingdom is awesome! I'm working my way through the books, brilliant

And Uhtred Is Hotter Than Hell

BagelGoesWalking · 12/04/2017 00:06

Uhtred is pretty good, isn't he?! Grin

What are the books like? Was thinking of giving them a go...

Yorkshirebetty · 12/04/2017 00:53

The books are fantastic, I would highly recommend them!!

zukiecat · 12/04/2017 09:56

Yes the books are fantastic YorkshireBetty

I'm working my way through them, I think there's 9?

Well so far anyway

I tried reading Bernard Cornwell's Arthurian Trilogy but could never get into them, but The Last Kingdom ones are brilliant

XH liked Sharpe, but that was never my thing, I like ancient history and Sharpe is too modern for me
