By years 6 every girl in dds school was Matilda on world book day!

funnily enough I haven't seen one girl in their school go as matilda, last year they went as goldilocks and my eldest went as a fairy princess twilight sparkle one of her random books.

Sadly Nancy school have allocated each class a book. 3/4 got Matilda.

DD2 ( year1) wind in the willows. Really easy that one. They've not read it yet, or been giving any reading material from it. But are expected to be dressed as characters from it on Thursday. Dd1 in yr6 has Treasure Island, which they have at least read.

It has caused me a lot of unnecessary stress.

I have no issue with Disney princesses- at least we have the dresses, and they are based on books. I think the head is trying to avoid a playground full of Batman iron Man and Ninja turtles, but is too scared to say that, so going down the designated book route.

I don't mind alice in wonderland or Rapunzel or Cinderella, they were books before films, but all the flipping costumes are sold out and so many shops don't seem to be stocking dressing up clothes, I went on a hunt yesterday. anyway enough of the world book day talk lol, back to the voice... only 20mins now!
