The young one told gobby he did it on purpose so she tried to get the older guy away. Turned out they were both in prison together and the older guy gave him a job because no one was helping him but he had some mental problems. Not quite sure why he let him get away or where he thought he'd go. Was concentrating on something else towards the end when gobbyplod arrived.
