Totally agree with you CoolCarrie, too many storylines being packed in and they are becoming ridiculous really, after it being so brilliant for so long it's going downhill fast.

I also agree CoolCarrie. Also too many are sex/love triangles and intrigues. Rebecca/Robron. Leyla/Pete/Priya. Megan/Charity/Frank. We also have tensions/reactions between Belle/Lachlan/his mate. Harriet/Cain and Moira and the fallout from Victoria/Adam/Vanessa as well as Paddy/Rhona/Pierce , Jai and Nell(?)and Ross and Debbie will they won't they?

Very dull - I usually multi task while watching or miss and just watch the latest episode on catch up of both Emmerdale and Corrie these days (often end up multi tasking during the catch up as well). Gosh - I used to run home in my lunch hour at primary school to watch Emmerdale Farm just to see Matt Skilbeck wrestle with some sheep.

Agree it's on too much. I count the hour long Tuesday one as two episodes so that's seven a week, more than any other. The material and cast are stretched too thinly and it often shows. Corrie is going six times a week later this year and shouldn't be, in my view. But it's all about advertising revenue and greed.

Agree it should be on less with better content.

I think they need to move the storylines on much quicker. If you have to go back and double-check things because it's so long since it happened then that's not good! Having characters disappear off-screen for a week or two and then picking up the story again is just confusing and is ruining what could otherwise be good.

Lawrence is just hamming it up to the max now! Nice to have scenes with Lucky and Robert, they work well together, just wish it was a better story. It's obvious that Robert wasn't lying to the doctor about his insomnia even though he was doing it just to get the tablets to drug Lawrence looks like Aaron isn't sleeping properly either.

Genuinely being thick but what is Robert's plan?
Kill Lawrence? Take Home Farm? Screw other the mother of child? Alienate his ex-boyfriend? Lose his sister??

bonfireheart I wondered that too. Is Robert hoping to be reinstated as the overseer of commercial activities at Home Farm (as he was briefly when he was married to Chrissy). Surely, after everything he has put the family through they would rather sell the place than rehire him. Or does he have a few million in his "portfolio" and is hoping to buy Home Farm for a knock down price?

Hate the Eric Pollard and the bad teenager storyline. Tracey's hair looked ridiculous - another one that wouldn't be missed.

I think Robert is doing it just because he can! I think he's on the verge of a breakdown. Wouldn't surprise me if he takes the rest of the sleeping pills himself. He's showing no emotion towards anyone. I wonder how he'll react when he sees Jack's gravestone has been shot at. I wonder if Emmerdale know why he's doing it themselves!!

Pete/Leyla/Priya is rubbish. He doesn't look bothered about either of them and neither am I.

Leyla is beautiful. I don't mind Pete. But could do with Priya disappearing.

It would be a really good twist if Rebecca isn't pregnant and instead of pouring away the brandy she drinks it herself and then conks out and gets brought to hospital where it's revealed. But that's never going to happen!

This little scrote who was bullying Jacob and now seems to be friends with Jacob, is it just me or does he have a weird accent? Yorkshire accents aren't my area of expertise but he sounds so odd compared to everyone else.

Leyla and Priya are both very beautiful. I don' t think either of them would be bothered about Pete (if the writer had any sense). Poor Priya she hasn't much luck with the guys they partner her with. I always laugh at her clingy "nightclub" style dresses, high heels and bare legs in a Yorkshire rural village (especially in Winter)

I'd love Leyla to get a good comedy story, she's very funny, as long as it doesn't involve beavers!

So I googled Jacob to try and understand his parentage and it quickly got confusing with Leyla, Alicia and David who isn't his dad but he lives with - poor kid has had a very confusing life.

Worm I say exactly the same thing to my DH all the time about Priya. My DH thinks it's hilarious how irrationally pissed off I get every time she comes on screen and I'm like 'oh FFS Priya's going clubbing again'!

I remember whenever when Emmerdale won it's first ever Best Soap award - I was distracted by Prius's swimsuit outfit (there are very few people who could look as fab as she does in this outfit)

I think Finn is a great actor when given the right storylines like the day his dad died and he was great again today. Interesting that the writers chose him for the scenes over Pete or Ross.
Pete seems to be phoning in his performance lately and I can't imagine any priest would have found that Ed Sheeran song get acceptable!

I was surprised too that it was Finn who got the details from Emma, I presumed it would be Ross but I suppose he would have flown off the handle and maybe killed her where as Finn will have to think long and hard about it before someone overhears him talking about it to Laurel in the pub.

Pete is bloody useless.

Why does Megan believe everything Charity tells her, you would think after everything she's done Megan would be a bit more cautious in her dealings with her.
