Drama series recommendations- like Fortitude, The Missing, Apple Tree Yard...

I've just finished series 2 of Fortitude which was just amazing telly. looking for the next series me and DH can both watch, we like what called "gritty drama" from well produced relationships dramas ie. Cold Feet, This Life, The Secret Life of Us to suspense dramas like Dr Foster, Fortitude, The Missing, Apple Tree Yard, The Fall.
Has to be slick, well produced but not overly glossy which is why generally I shy away from US dramas, but loved 24.... any recommendations gratefully received!

I agree that The Bridge and The Killing are excellent,
Also watched Vilkings from the beginning, not normally my first choice but after first episode was hooked and it had a great story line
I am actually looking for something new to watch too as it feels like a bit of a drought out there.
