DH is making me watch and I'm a cynical old cow clearly but it's all a bit wanky really. Very well paid, feted people spouting off about politics and poverty. I never ever thought I would be missing James Corden!

Stephen Fry is very subdued this year, it's a bit flat. It needs new blood.

I was just thinking hes not very funny this year...I think Ricky Gervais would be good..Ken Loach though what a speech , brilliant man. And Devon Patel , I could just watch him for 2 hours.

Have given up on it as I got bored. All went downhill after KL's speech. Stephen Fry also seems bit bored by it all.

What's not to like? The incredibly fabulous Kenneth Lonergan won best Original Screenplay, with Casey Affleck for Best Actor in Manchester by the Sea. And now Damien Chazelle won for Director. All fab!

Really interesting - I'm sort of torn between acknowledging it's probably good people say this stuff and detesting them. Also, have slight ? over the hypocrisy of them all licking each other's arses before going home in limos and eating off gold plates while making money out of films about poor people.

I enjoyed it and was really pleased that Lala land did so well. Prince William is dull. Fun Harry would have been a better president. William usually doesn't bother to turn up. Kate looked great.

Ken Loach is a brilliant director and his films are some of the best ever produced in the UK. I watch until just after the In Memory section because I loved John Hurt, and Circe de Solie were wonderful.

I didn't watch the BAFTAs because I am deathly allergic to Stephen Fry, but I'm bloody glad that famous people are making use of opportunities to challenge some of the disgusting stuff that's going on at the moment. I'm sure there's no winning with some people - if they didn't speak up, some people would be calling them brain dead airheads who have no opinions. And why must being rich and famous automatically mean that you're selfish and blinkered, and therefore automatically being disingenuous if you show consideration for the suffering of others?

I'm really pleased that I'm not the only one allergic to Stephen Fry, so I didn't watch but looked at the dresses in the Daily Mail. (I know, I'm really shallow!). What amazes me is why some of these stars agree to wear such awful dresses.

eddie, I had a good old look at the dresses too this morning - dead shallow but I do enjoy a nice frock! I thought some were fab, some were truly awful, far too much boob on display in general. Nice to see you're also allergic to SF - you're clearly a woman of excellent taste
