so far I have seen, Still Life, and Testament of Youth.

I need something uplifting, but well made.

Ooh good thread. Why IS Netflix so hard to browse??

AnyFucker · 13/02/2017 00:59

I just watched Suffragettes and thought it was good

Ooh good thread. Why IS Netflix so hard to browse??

They recently reinstated the Categories section, which has helped, although the categories have all changed. I also can't find stuff which other people have recommended (eg CitizenFour) and say is on there. I sometimes wonder if their algorithms limit what you get offered. I only found out recently that the film ratings relate to what other people with a similar viewing profile to you have said, rather than all the scores. I accidentally started a TV movie rom com recently & suddenly found loads of similar (shit) films pushed in my feed. I had to go back into the film & give it 1 star to make them disappear - desperation made me think of it, but it worked. I wish there was an honest, unbuggered alphabetical list of everything somewhere on the menu.

Suffragettes is another case in point - I would love to watch it, but it hasn't appeared in our menu once. Angry Now I know it's there, I'll go looking for it.

I can't see Suffragettes on Netflix even if I search for it. What am I doing wrong? Agree it's very difficult to browse but the more I add to My List the better the suggestions seem to get. I came on to recommend Brooklyn and also Boyhood, if you haven't already seen it. Or a classic like To Kill a Mockingbird or It Happened One Night always cheers me up.

Sorry folks, when I checked it seems I watched Suffragettes on Now TV.

I wish they would have clear, separate sections for TV and Films. Categories often don't make sense

We watched Wild with Reece Witherspoon last night, it was a bit slow at times but she was very good in it and the scenery was amazing.
