2 new judges- Gavin Rossdale, who I'm not sure I like much, and J-Hud, which will hopefully spare us renditions of her songs from the wannabes.

And of course, Will-i-am. Bill je suis.

I'm glad Tom is back, but I might actually miss Ricky a bit, and his desperate 'be my friend' ways. And even Boy George grew on me a bit by the end of last year.

New twist- the judges who don't turn, don't have to to turn around and make nice with the acts. So, if no judges turn around, I expect, they just have to leave the stage all dejected and sad. which is harsh. But could be fun.

So- I'm not doing dry January, as I've too much alcohol lying around for that, but I managed, 'dry September-ish to November' instead, and I might have some mince pies left.

So- anyone going to join me?

I am sad about Rickeeeeeey. I may wander the house calling for him in the style of East Enders' Bianca. Whilst bemoaning the lack of Boy George too...but it won't stop me tuning in.

I'd almost forgotten about Paloma. They really didnt seem to be able to get the female 'mentor' right, did they? Although I thought Rita Ora was O.K on the Voice, (and then a bit crap on X Factor).

I was going to do dry January BUT having had a godawful cough flu type thing since Christmas Day and today feeling human for the first time, I'm celebrating with . Bring it on!

I quite liked Boy George on there but thought he was a bit bitchy. Gavin Rossdale - should be interesting, I find him quite ummmm sexy. Sorry but I find Willy verrrrrry irritating.

Rousette- I like Will, but he can try too hard to be 'dope' He was worse last year, I think, because BG was also such a 'big' character, and instead of coming across as quirky and endearing, Willy just seemed to be a bit of a twit at time. And yes, BG was a bit bitchy (sometimes, it was funny, but other times it was a bit much).

Oh yes Raahh he's very dope! I only tune in to look at his peculiar specs and hats!

Oh, I just caught the beginning of 'Let it Shine' which is the 'finding a boyband' thing on BBC1.

It was a very cringy start.

I'm a bit meh about the judges TBH. Can't believe they've brought Tom back and the band ' Bush' ? Sorry not heard of them...

However will watch with an open mind and TBH this thread is what makes the show worth watching anyway!

I'm looking forward to this - been watching let it shine which is a bit pants so far. Both have judges I'm not keen on. Danni Minogue irritates me, and the Bush bloke is a tit. I couldn't name a Bush song if my life depended on it.

Helloooooo! And Happy New Year all! I am in no way doing Dry January. I have a gum infection which is actually more painful than labour (honest!) so gin is helping to numb the pain.

V Interested to see if the all new shiny ITV version is better than the Beeb's can't be hard to beat it and whether the eventual winner goes on to have any kind of career. Unlike any of the previous winners.

They have to at least try to make sure the winner has a sniff of a career, surely? Bill je Suis has been so scathing of that n the past. Although the Beeb would at least have had the excuse now that streaming has taken over so much, that it makes it very difficult for shows like this to have hits. (That is the X Factor's new excuse anyway).
