Celeb Big Bro - less than a week to go!

Hello PWBs, lurkers and newbies - all welcome here!

It is that wondrous time of the year when we can moan about wanting them to go back to basics, wonder who the supposed celebs actually are and compare yummy snacks.

So, I have managed to avoid all talk so far about who is going in. Do we have any definites yet?

I watched CBB Live last night. The Lady on the chair task was arguing with the blond Lady. I missed exactly what it was about. Hardly any bird song last night either!

Was heidi Spencer was goading lady in the chair and heidi rushed over to stir it the lady in chair can handle herself though . Speidi are arseholes

What BS it really irritates me now nothing can ever happen it's always sexist, racist, ageist, disabling etc. It makes the words less impactful when it's actually appropriate to use them

I didn't like that 'edited out' thing... but I didn't think it was racially motivated at all.

They could've at least given her a coat though!!

I think with Stacy, what I read was she was being associated with the angry black woman stereotype. It's the comments the other contestants made who were choosing her and not the isolation. The isolation is not the problem. The same bullshit they had with Tiffany is what they have started on Stacy.

They expect her to get angry and aggressive to make good tv. This is the narrative of all black women and not just on tv. The people who complained actually do have a point. She was being nice or hadn't even shown them who she is, but they have decided the aggressive her would make better tv. Hmm

I just caught up. Went to bed after Nicola.

Jasmine is a bit blatantly after Calum and didn't seem to like Bianca, I'm guessing because she's young and good looking rather than knowing about Love Island.

I'm not sure who I would have edited out. I don't like it. But I get why they, James in particular, picked Stacy as she would put on a show and Americans are all about the screen time in general.

But in her VT she said about becoming a bit of a bitch and I think even about getting angryConfused also I think she was the obvious choice as she was the least recognisable and known. An unknown X factor USA finalist as soon as I saw her I said it was going to be here most likely and then after they'd all gone in I knew it would be her.

Just because it comes across some people's minds it was racist ( we don't even know their motivation) doesn't mean that it was

IMHO Stacey did a brill job on last night live show just completely being flat and not rising to Heidi comments meaning that Heidi just couldn't get her to argue back at her

She was just calm and flat which IMHO confused Heidi as she stood there not knowing how to react to Stacey as she is used to arguments and fights

Sole I think so too based on what the others said. The dancer did sate why he really wanted her to be chosen and that was what people where not happy with.

Joe 'I can't present for toffee' Swash was really nasty about Stacey. He said that he didn't like her.
Definitely felt she was chosen because they wanted her to 'kick off' as they expect her to live up to the stereotype of the angry black female.

I think they all wanted to edit out Older James, but felt that would be mean, so edited out the unknown American instead.
