Wow, what a powerful episode...I mean, the guy that played the bloke with the multiple personality disorder...I thought he did a truely convincing JOb with that...absolutely amazing!
Read a book, ynks ago, written by a woman with that disorder, and have always been fascinated with it, and this guy really acted it the way, I expected it from that book...iykwim.

another book/ tv movie on the subject of multiple personalities is 'Sybil', which was atv movie starring sally Fiels (coincidentally . abbis mum in ER). It is a true story about the psychoanalysis process that she goes through. it stems from being abused as achild and causing her to split into 16 selves who take over her life at various times to save her from herself. it was a fascinating movie and the book, by an american Rheta Shreiber is great- but i had to get it from the states. Sorry, that was a bit long!!!!!

Although some of the stuff about the patients is interesting, I actually think the current series of ER is very disappointing - they obviously have new writers as it is a real contrast with last series which I thought had some very strong storylines.

Things which might have made good tv are glossed over. For example, one minute Abbey & Luka's baby is a very ill premmie, the next minute it is a bouncing 5 month old, wtf? Very little made of the trauma Luka would have been going through almost losing another child.....

Another example, Sam killing her husband and her son seeing it - nothing more mentioned for several weeks now....

And that thing with Neela and the ex-paramedic - too soap-opery for me!

I'm beginning to wonder if ER has run its course....

I agree - have been disappointed with this series on the whole. I was with them until Luka and Abbie had the baby but it's losing a lot of its momentum. However, Archie has grown on me which I thought would never happen - he makes me larf now.

It's better watching the old ones on More4 when I get the chance. Dr Green's still going - for the moment.... (sob)

Yes, ER is defiantely NOT as good as it was...so,yeah they possibly have new writers.
It would be a shame if it was the end of ER, it's been on for soooooooooooo many years....but, I suppose...there is only that much story one can have, and people may hvae moved on to "House" now (lets hope it's not Grey's anatomy...I tried to watch that once and just didn't think much off it)!
