Do you think David Attenborough's "epic sign off" last night, was him signing off his TV career, as well as the series?

"We must do everything in our power to create a planet, not just for us, but all life on Earth".

To me, the reference to his first series, Life on Earth, seems to suggest that he's gone full circle. And what a career!

God, he's magnificent! I hope it's not him signing off from his TV career! although at 90 he must know it could have been his last major TV series.

I have always adored him, ever since I was allowed to stay up to watch Life on Earth when I was about 8.

I did think he was beginning to look a bit old last night. I mean, I know he's 90, but he's never looked it before.

yes he did look old. my ds (8) was shocked at how old he looked although he's not really seen him in anything else. His voice never seems to have changed though!

My DS is 8 too, and is also a big fan. He I asked for Planet Earth DVDs for his birthday. He is I am also getting The Blue Planet for Christmas.
