I recorded it, thinking it would be very silly (well, it was, but I enjoyed it nontheless) but the kids might like it.

So...how gorgeous was that bloke? The Professor's assistant - the one who shot the dinosaur at the end? Phwooooar...where have you been all my life?

Very silly but loved it in my house - it is set to record every time it's on.

And it gets better - Life on Mars is back next Tuesday too - yippee!!

We had it on and enjoyed it. I agree very silly but watchable.
Apparently it was originally picked up by the BBC but they had already Started production on Dr Who and felt they were too similar.. (wonder if I should slink over to that geek thread?)

PeachyClair · 11/02/2007 11:31

We liked it a lot- the bioys adored it. But then we also belong on the geeks thread and are proud to admit it LOL!

I rather iked the professor myself , but then academia always did it for me!

My two (huge Star Wars fans) were delighted when the boy got his toy lightsaber to fight the dinosaur which stuck its head through his bedroom window

I thought (mainly because it's on a bit later) it might be too scary for my youngest (5) - hence recording it and watching it first, but I thought it was less scary than a lot of episodes of Dr Who.

We forgot about it and caught the last few minutes. I wanted to like it but it looked pretty dire, at least the bits I saw. Going by this though we might have been misjudging it. I know it's repeated this afternoon, maybe if we're back it time we're give it another go.

AitchTwoOh · 11/02/2007 11:33

i missed it, switched onto BBC first and got sucked into Shrek (just like the sneaky BBC schedulers intended...)

serenity · 11/02/2007 11:37

Ditto. OK, we've now decided to record it for the DCs, purely on the say so of you lot....

moosh · 11/02/2007 12:30

Ds1 loved it, I thought it was ok, some acting a little wooden.

And when the dinosaur attacked the boy, all his mum could say was "Clean that mess up!!" Not "What the hell was that noise? Why is half the wall missing?" and "Are you ok son?"

Nethertheless will be tuning in next week, it is good substitute for Dr Who for ds1 as he is missing it madly.

filthymindedvixen · 11/02/2007 12:37

I wish they could repeat it a little earlier so dses could watch it - they would adore it. I enjoyed it very much - it's the best Sat night tv I've seen in a long time (I don't DO strictly-come-ice-Factor-Idol stuff.)

filthymindedvixen · 11/02/2007 12:39

(Though I loved the way dh and I were picking up on little 'inaccuracies' and anomolies exactly like Moosh - while completely ok with the fact that there is a time-travelling portal to a prehistoric world in the Forest of Dean

Fubsy · 11/02/2007 20:33

I missed it - went out and forgot to record it, drew a big circle round it for this pm then did exactly the same thing again.

Does anyone know if it will be repeated again, maybe on ITV2 or something?

nikkie · 11/02/2007 21:11

I watched it and thought it was fab will have to tape it for dds next week.

Reminded me a bit of Dinotopia, did anyone watch that?
