I'm surprised there's not a thread about it. It's really funny, if a bit crass at times. I love the dysfunctional family. The way the Dad and Daughter speak to the Gran!!

This sort of humour and one liners I really understand.

Yes, I'm watching it, and laughed out loud a couple of times last Thursday (don't ask me what at - can't remember now).

Am certainly planning to keep on watching...perhaps it's cos I'm from oop north that I enjoy it?!

I'm from ooop north as well. I enjoyed the first one, but missed the second one. I thought the DD who wouldn't take her coat off was hillarious. My DS is like that - me nagging him 'tek yer coat off, yer in Spain FGS'.

I apsolutley love Benidorm.
My dh and I laugh and laugh.
It is so well written.
And it's insights into stereo-typical people are spot on.
No one I know has seen it.
It is so funny.
I love them all - the swingers, tangoed gran in her scooter, even boring Martin whose wife slept with greasy drigo the barman.
Why is this programme not talked about more ?
I don't get it.
I love it.

Wuxiapian · 02/03/2007 14:44

Yes, Steve Pemberton is truly wonderful and find him incredibly sexy. Perhaps a little too much information there. Ah well.

nailpolish · 02/03/2007 14:49

Oblomov · 02/03/2007 20:29

and wuxiapian - I find Steve P very attractive aswell - I think it is his intelligence and humour - I just love him - he is so sexy.

How wierd we are !!!

Aloveheart · 02/03/2007 20:29

i'm watching it too.

Oblomov · 02/03/2007 20:48

I don't think its anything to do with being northern , that makes it funny - even though penguin, emsie, moon, and strawberry are.

I am, for my sins, totally southern, and I F**cking LOVE IT !!

Although apart from Martin the drip, they aren't any 'southerners' are there ?

I mean you don't have to be northern to think it is one of the funniest things you've seen in a long time.

StrawberrySnowflakes · 03/03/2007 13:28

no, i just meant i 'understood him' and scarily related to him and his north east accent
