such an amazing drama, hard to believe it was this way only half a century ago, things have changed so much!

I'm going to put them on my Christmas wish list Shelagh. DH will go mad. He gets annoyed with me watching them, he even noticed the other day that I watched one out of sequence!

Mumofthree, I watch them here call the midwife there is quite a few cut scenes from series one and two, none after that though.

Mumof3 I just find Shelagh's journey incredible and I love her character - she's clever, knowledgeable, funny, sweet, bossy and slightly bonkers. And Patrick don't hurt 😏

Yup, that's exactly what I mean. Sadly I can't get that link to work atm but it should be back again in a few days.

There is roughly 2 minutes more in every episode in the first 2 series. I was astonished to see them, I can only think that PBS have slightly more airtime to fill. There is a few bits that help the episode make more sense though, like the one I mentioned earlier between Chummy and Evangelina after she falls from the bike the first time. If you look at her wrist after she falls in clinic and smashes the spirit lamps, she has a bandage on her wrist. I always thought it was done when she fell. It's actually dressed by Evangelina, in the deleted scene, after her first fall. Thats the one that sticks out the most for me.

To think I originally started watching the first series because Miranda was in it!!

threeandbean I loved Miranda in it. I know a few who say she isn't missed but I thought she was great. I really felt she was missed in the last episode where Sr Evangelina died. They had a great relationship and she should have been there to say goodbye.

God I just love this show, can't wait for it to come back.

Love it! Old joe the war veteran, very sad storyline.
Also the girl who gave birth in the printers alone, I bet a lot of that went on.

If you can, watch it on Putlocker - I'm up to series 3 and there has been bits of not seen in that too! Couple of extra scenes around Alex Jesmonds accident so far (half an hour to go yet)

I think the last series was the best so far. Never liked Jenny. Thought she was wooden. Will miss Sr Evangelina but as a pp has said there is so much talent they will be o gap. Hope Babra and tom get married.

Watching season 4 I think I am on episode 3 am a bit shocked by how absolutely gorgeous the lad from the garage is

And obviously he is gay

Love Call the Midwife!! Jimmy was one of my favourite characters. Look forward to new episodes!!
