They have decided against bringing back good night sweetheart, even though it was Universally praised.

But bizarrely they will be renewing the terrible Porridge remake everyone in the world, and on Mars Hated.

I wonder if ITV will pick up Goodnight Sweetheart like they did with Birds of a feather, does anyone want to contact them and enquire here: [email protected]?

I'm rewatching the old GS on Forces tv, and Gary is a selfish, sexist wanker. But it's still a great programme

I enjoyed the Goodnight sweetheart episode and am sad there isn't going to be more. They should have set it up for an update by sending a girl through to do a Gary.

Yes I liked Gary's reaction to his daughter's 'ripped' knee jeans. Grin Grin

I suspect ITV will do it. Maurice Gran is alluding to it on Twitter and they picked up Birds of a Feather too.

I still hold out hope that they will bring back Crime Traveller...

There's something i never understood about that...

They had to be back at the time machine before the time ran out... all well and good... BUT the timer ran out at the same point they left...

most in episodes they create some kind of diversion to not be seen...

but the have to be at the time machine at the moment they left... which isn't possible, they'd bump into themselves in the time machine room, it doesn't make sense.

I adored Crime Traveller. Just got the DVD of it! Would love it to come back!

That's a shame. Really enjoyed that one. There was so much that could have been done with it. I also enjoyed 'Motherland' I think it was called with Anna Maxwell Martin that got a lot of discussion on here, and I think they are also proceeding with a series of that. Also quite liked one called I think 'Our Ex-wife' with Robert Webb and Melanie Lynsky.

But the Porridge one was one of the worst, don't know why they are bothering to develop that into a series at all.
