Did anyone watch this re Roger Kearney? What an unsatisfying ending! I thought the investigator was very engaging, what was with those mysterious texts though??

It was 2008 though not 20 years ago. So not recently but closer to the present day than your experience.

Grey that's terrible but not surprising 20 years ago.

You really don't expect things like that to be happening in this day and ageAngry

The police officer who destroyed the evidence should be investigated.

danTDM · 02/10/2016 14:47

I felt he didn't do it.

Doesn't surprise me one bit about the lost evidence part after semi personal experience of HC a long time ago. I wasn't convinced he had definitely killed her but guess there is no way anyone will find out 100% now. Hats off to the investigator; she was pretty tenacious. There must be an awful lot of miscarriages of justice; it's actually quite scary- how can a jury have voted without doubt that he was guilty with no firm evidence in the first place? Bizarre that the other affair the 'best friend' claimed the victim had been having with a man who scared her had not been followed up further even if she did come across a bit weird.

TimPedder888 · 10/10/2016 20:36

I think the really unbelievable thing is that the victim had arranged to meet him the night she disappeared, was pressuring him into leaving his wife and daughter - and was then murdered by someone else!

Surely not.

Plus he wasn't swiped in at work, somehow, so they don't know when he actually got there.

Plus a similar vehicle was captured on CCTV several times in the relevant locations.

Plus he didn't phone or text the victim after she disappeared.

Too many coincidences for it not to have been him.

To be guilty of murder the evidence has to be very convincing , on this case the evidence is far from convincing .
Dont deny some of his actions are a bit strange , however l think he is innocent .
The evidence does not point to kearney in Particular .
Very unfair on his appeal team that the forensics have been destroyed .
That alone should see him released.
And who was sending those text
messages ?.? ?

Paula wasn’t wearing heavy clothes only a white top and a 3/4 length white coat in that cctv in tescos video. . In the train station cctv it looked liked she drove into the station car park . And not where her car was found in Duncan road .
