Can I watch the new Cold Feet without watching the old series?

Just that really. Never watched the original but quite fancy the new series. Should I jump in, or watch the others on catch up first?

Sorry if there has already been chat on this elsewhere but I tried to read the other thread and there are spoilers even on the first page! So I'm reluctant to read much more.

I watched them first time round but DH didn't so we watched the whole lot over about 4 days I think you could watch new series but you would enjoy them better if you had time to watch them all

BUT ITV HUB/PLAYER have deleted the old ones now
