Did anybody see this? It was bloody great. Drama about a young woman living on a council estate in London.

terrifying in lots of ways! Very well acted, but so bleak. I made the mistake of watching it with dd2 (14).

Just read this from the writer - I promise the film is not relentlessly bleak. Funny, because "relentlessly bleak" is exactly how I'd describe it.

She goes on to highlight a few of the lighter moments but (for me) they were outweighed by the unrelieved misery of the girl's life.

The ending was so, so predictable.

It certainly wasn't entertainment, I didn't find it educational and I wasn't shocked at any of it, but maybe that's because I'm quite old.

Shame you didn't like it, boomers. I didn't find it predictable.

I bet your DD had her eyes opened, Idon'tknow. Might deter her from glue sniffing and underage drinking!

I thought it was excellent, and completely unlike most things we see on TV.

dd2 was quite shocked, but more judgemental than I expected - both of the mum and the daughter.
