Great British Menu

So I can find the GBBO thread the new Aus Masterchef thread and the Aus My Kitchen Rules thread but where is the Great British Menu thread?

I think this year the simpler "theme" of bloody good cooking has attracted back some of the better chefs. The Scottish chef tonight who was on Masterchef before seems v good. I thought the veggie starter was yuck.

I didn't know it was back! My favourite cooking show, thank-you.

iklboo · 29/08/2016 22:41

I didn't know it was back either. Thank you!

Caught the second half of this tonight - didn't know it was back! I like Adam Handling and his food looked good.

Davros · 29/08/2016 23:03

Enjoyed it. None of the food made me drool though Sad

TKRedLemonade · 29/08/2016 23:11

I usually hate the fish round but they were all fantastic today.

I didn't know this was back!

I love TV cooking and have a love/hate relationship with this show; too many gimmicks - always with the f*ing edible soil & really contrived plating - but I'm still loving it.

Davros · 30/08/2016 23:57

I loved the mackerel dish and the presentation. I often find the "props" they use really annoying (picnic table or allotment anyone?)

GrouchyKiwi · 01/09/2016 13:42

I'm catching up on this now. I do like Adam Handling (he was my favourite in his year of Masterchef). Agree that the simpler brief is a Very Good Thing.

Mirandawest · 01/09/2016 13:43

I didn't know this was on either

LIZS · 13/10/2016 19:35

Anyone still watching? This week seems to be going through the motions since Chris Archer went off sick.

LadybirdsAreFab · 14/10/2016 08:04

Still watching, still enjoying. Seems to be less gimmicky presentation this week.

jingscrivvens · 14/10/2016 09:38

I'm still watching, I'm glad Mini got through but I don't know if he would've if the other chef hadn't been ill!
Tommy's pudding last night made me cry, I am too invested in this programme!

LIZS · 24/10/2016 19:05

Finals week!
