Help! Raven: the island finale (any tapes?)

canard · 31/01/2007 17:11

My 4 year old daughter really loves raven: the island - the whole family have got into it (I've been on a week paternity leave and have got hooked too).

Only problem is: today was the finale - I forgot to put it on and she was busy doing something... she hasn't realised yet but I'm gutted she missed it. Did anyone record it? I'd be happy to pay postage (and more if you want) to be able to watch the finale with her (it's the one that was on BBC1 on Wednesday 31st at 4pm)

Email: [email protected] if you can help

Did you see todays or do you want to know what happened?!

evamum · 31/01/2007 22:05

Obviously you didn't see it (clarification needed I think!) I mean have you managed to find a repeat or anything?!

foxinsocks · 31/01/2007 22:05

what did happen today? I have started watching this with dd and got hooked

evamum · 31/01/2007 22:12

I missed last week cos DH came home early a few days and I couldn't admit that I wanted to watch it (!) but today the last team (5 of them) were doing their last challenges. I missed the very beginning but they found a stone with a rhyme written on it that lit up for a few minutes and they had to write it down as it would help defeat a demon.
Erina then decided to hoodwink Nevar and set fireworks off in the sky that were runes that translated as
'None left all gone'
so Nevar would think the warriors had all been defeated.
They used the Pearl of wisdom and discovered she meant that none of them were to go left, they were to all go over the ruined wall on the right, behind which was a mirror shield that they will need later.

They then found some potions, herbs and a cauldron and made a sleeping potion for the other demon as Nevar had fallen for Erina's trick and only left 2 demons on guard.
They crossed the causeway but had written the rhyme down wrong so one of them got vanished when she read it out but the potion put the other demon to sleep though so they are now at the gates of Nevar's fortress thingy.

Have just read that back...I am a very sad person.

lol

that is seriously impressive recollection

but thank you very much

ds refuses to watch because it frightens him when the people disappear (this is dd's fault for telling him they were dead so my 'oh they've gone back to sit with their mums' didn't wash)

I quite liked the 2 tall children (were they Wolves or Eagles can't remember) - the tall boy and girl - the rest of their group vanished pretty early on.

evamum · 31/01/2007 22:26

Hey, I'm 28 and I find it a bit disturbing! I mean they give killer hugs!

Ellbell · 31/01/2007 22:41

Sorry, FiS, but am PMSL @ 'Oh, they've gone back to sit with their mums'!

UnquietDad · 31/01/2007 23:03

canard - nope, tomorrow is the finale on CCBC, and today's ep is REPEATED 4pm BBC-1 tomorrow (thurs).

evamum · 31/01/2007 23:27

No, that was TODAY'S ep on BBC1 that I recapped.

UnquietDad · 01/02/2007 10:05

Just bumping to say it finishes today on CBBC (with BBC1 repeat on Fri) and Raven starts again next week.

Porpoise · 01/02/2007 10:23

you have done well, brave warriors. but what challenges await you today?
(sorry, dh and i have taken to Raven-speak in a BIG way!)

Marina · 01/02/2007 10:24

I am mesmerised by Raven's permatan and Erina's 40 denier American tan tights.
Ds and dd love it and ds is desperate to know how the children are recruited
PMSL at "gone back to sit with their mums" FIS

UnquietDad · 01/02/2007 10:28

Stage school, Marina!

Porpoise · 01/02/2007 10:28

What you need, Marina, is some Raven wallpaper

Porpoise · 01/02/2007 10:29

ds3 (age 3) has taken to walking round with a towel over his head, saying, 'I'm a demon'.
Doesn't go down that well at (church-run) playgroup!

UnquietDad · 01/02/2007 10:29

When he said last series "It is the end, but the moment has been prepared for" and "Just go forward in all your beliefs, and prove to me that I am not mistaken in mine" - both those lines were direct steals from "Doctor Who"!

UnquietDad · 01/02/2007 10:30

Princess Erina is a hottie.

Marina · 01/02/2007 10:31

I think I may just have found a way to get my boy on the stage at last . Do you think James Mackenzie takes them to one side and warns them to steer clear of children's TV if they want a real career?
Thanks for that porpoise, am loving his manicure, bless.

Porpoise · 01/02/2007 10:37

Hmmm, better with spiky hair, methinks

Marina · 01/02/2007 10:43

I find it a bit sad that he has all that very good theatre work on his CV and here he is yomping around an outward bound centre wrapped in a blackout blind.
I assumed he MUST be doing it for career advancement, poor love

Porpoise · 01/02/2007 10:48

Yes, being an 8-year-old's pin-up probably wasn't top of his to-do list when he left acting school...

Porpoise · 01/02/2007 10:50

And I bet small people are always tugging at his sleeves, saying 'Well met, young warrior!'
That blackout blind probably has all sorts of uses...
