It's a cross between Brothers and Sisters and Modern Family. Give it a go!

Ooh! Going to do that right this second while I work on a cake! Flowers

EachandEveryone · 15/08/2016 23:47

i tried watching this last week cos it had great reviews but it wasnt my cup of tea didnt get the humour at all
each to their own i suppose

BendydickCuminsnatch · 16/08/2016 18:23

Mm i did like it. I thought the comedy was a bit forced in places unlike Modern Family, but yeah I'll watch more I think! Got a few episodes in. I like the format of it :)

EachandEveryone · 16/08/2016 20:43

Yes i think we need to give it a go. Im bored of modern family now. The other one i like is Casual. Again its only for certain tastes. If you liked Transparent. Infact what can we call this genre? Whiney comedy/drama in the same ilk as Girls.

Watched first two episodes, I liked it! Very funny!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 18/08/2016 08:31

I liked Transparent. I haven't seen Brothers & Sisters, I'll try and find it! Watched more of Life in Pieces last night, I got up to the Christmas one, maybe further, don't remember. I'm like it more and more, love the new mum character!

totoromama · 19/08/2016 18:47

We binge watched and really enjoyed it. Can't wait for the next season. I think it's out Oct.

EachandEveryone · 19/08/2016 19:39

I liked Casusl as well although it's more serious. Done good actors in it.

Casual stupid phone. It has the mom from Six Feet Under in it. About a single mom her teenage daughter and screwball brother. It's quite mucky.

Ooh going to try Casual now! Is it on Amazon? The perks of making cakes for a living are endless - watching series after series while you work Grin

EachandEveryone · 19/08/2016 20:44

Yes my friend is an artist and does the same thing

I've just watched all of Series 1 in the last 3 days.

It's great. I even like "Lark" as a potential baby name, but I know my whole family would be like : Hmm

Pipsqueak11 · 22/08/2016 20:51

Thanks for the recommendation - love it!

totoromama · 25/08/2016 18:32

Watched casual now on series 2

EachandEveryone · 25/08/2016 20:04

I really like it. It's nice to see Pete Campbell again.

OP posts:
EverySongbirdSays · 25/08/2016 20:08

Pete Campbell isn't in Life In Pieces.

I'm Confused

Do you mean Pete Campbell from Mad Men?

Is he in Casual?

EachandEveryone · 25/08/2016 21:42

Yes hes in Casual. Sorry i was getting carried away.

EachandEveryone · 02/09/2016 14:16

Anyone watched Casual yet?

Oh I loved it! (LIP) love Dianne Wiest and James Brolin (I'm old enough to remember him being a heart throb) and Colin Hanks is great. I'm rationing myself now though. I liked Frankie and....ugh gone blank. With Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin. Rich American people comedy.
