DH and I have had many a conversation about this!
We think it is a clever spoof.
And then we think it might be real.

I've only ever seen one episode... the one where Mrs Armstrong gets all dressed up for the Christmas kareoke night. They book it for a Sunday and expect all the staff to be up sharp Monday, then they change their minds and mess the restaurant about altering it to Saturday or something. Weird pair. Embarassing and cringe-worthy.
